Headbutt deals damage and has a 30% chance of causing the target to flinch (if the target has not yet moved).
Pokémon with the ability Inner Focus or those behind a Substitute cannot be made to flinch.
When a Pokémon is holding Normalium Z and uses its Z-Power, Headbutt turns into Breakneck Blitz and has base power 140.
In Gold, Silver, Crystal, and the remakes HeartGold & SoulSilver, Headbutt can be used to shake trees. Often wild Pokémon will fall out; some Pokémon are only obtainable via this method.
